Remote administration software suggestions, please...

Does anyone have experience with pcAnywhere? If so, how easy is it to use? Any issues?

Also, if anyone has experience and/or suggestions for other similar software, could you please post? Thanks!

PCAnywhere is very easy to use.
Your satisfation of refresh speed will depend on the type of connection you are using.
What is your purpose of remote control? If it is just to monitor and fix things remotely, then no problem.

If it is to work remotely. Does the work require an accurate set of colors and high refresh speed? Then you will need a high speed connection.

If I can't do it via a script or telnet (yes telnet on NT/2K/XP), I use terminal server to admin my Win2k servers. I've started to use it on my XP desktops and I really like it.

If you're looking for a free solution, thats similar to PCAnywhere, check out VNC.

Hiya Ian...

Thanks for the suggestion. Have you used VNC before? How secure and usable is it? I have several people that are always asking me to fix problems on their boxes. I've gotten to the point where I'm a bit pissy about having to go over to their place all the time, regardless of dinner, beer, etc. I need the program mostly to see what's going on on their desktop, as well as be able to move/delete/swap/change files and folders on the machines. Yes...they really do that much to their systems. :-?

Unfortunately, the first thing they will likely do is destroy the PC Anywhere/VNC/etc installation... :(
