This particular deal is probably only of interest to those who own a stand-alone audio CD burner as part of their stereo system that requires these types of discs. Although these discs can be used for burning data and/or music on a computer's CD-RW drive, they confer no advantage, and the per-disc price of $0.43 is not particularly cheap for a regular CD. I forgot to check the back of the box when I bought one from OfficeMax, and it turned out to be an Aopen. Another gift for a friend...

Oh well *shrug*

I bought that cd-rw from officemax today. The empty box on display has a LTR model number, but officemax doesn't stock it on the shelve, due to limited space. The employee searched the warehouse and the model #is SW-248 made by samsung.

Any comment on samsung cd-rw?

But I can't find the SW-248 48/12/48 on their website

Samsung is a nice drive. If your in need of a CD-RW drive, $25 for it is a really good deal. I personally would get it.

I got this drive today also. It's a Samsung SW-248F and it's actually 48/24/48 not 48/12/48 as the box states. The bezel of the drive has the 48/24/48 markings. Here is the specs on the Samsung website: http://www.samsungelectronics.com/odd/cdrw/sw_248f.html
