MTKFLASH

Postby Xenion on Mon Feb 10, 2003 5:51 pm

Is there a newer version of MTKFLASH then 1.55? because I tried to flash my Sony 48/12/48 to LiteOn 52/24/52 but MTKFLASH says it doesn't know the memory type. I managed to update the drive to Sony 52/24/52 with the Windows Updater from Sony, but nothing with MTKFLASH that worked flawlessly with my Memorex 1240AJ (LiteOn 32123S).

I would suggest trying the Flashfix utility to flash your Sony drive to a Lite-On 52x24x52. You can check it out at dimitri's website.

Ummm, there is no Windows Updater from Sony for the CRX220E1. You must mean the one by ^DA^ZoMBiE from http://kickme.to/sony210 mtkflash does work with these drives so it must be a problem with your system or the commands you typed.

Try using an older version of MTKFlash (e.g. 1.48). I got it here, but its also on the website in dhc014's signature. I had a similar problem with my LiteOn 48246S and that did the trick.

Thanks for your replies guys. It worked both with MTKFLASH 1.48 and FlashFix, so my problem is solved now (though I still can't get it why it didn't worked with 1.55). Thanx again.
