GCE-8481B not burning disc at once with Easy CD Creator.

Hi there,

Brand new to the list. I recently got a new Dell with the LG GCE-8481B as the CD-RW. I have the settings in Roxios Easy CD Creator set to burn disc at ince, but I'm still getting the gaps between tracks. I've used this software for the last few years with older burners and have never had this problem. Is this burner not able to handle disc at once?

congrats on your new purchase. How old is your easy cd creator? If it's a couple of years old it might not recognize your new CDRW correctly.

I suggest you dump ECD and try a demo version of Nero 5.5, and see how you like it. You might just convert like I did!

Burning in DAO is necessary but not sufficient to eliminate the gaps. I don't know about Easy CD Creator, but both WinOnCD 5 and Nero 5.5 allow you to modify the gap between songs on an audio CD by right-clicking the tracks in the track list and selecting "properties".

i think (but am not sure) that with Easy CD Creator you can only do this with the Platinum version, not with the Basic.

actually i already tried burning with DAO and it works, the only problem is it cannot burn at max speed which is 48X it can only burn at 32x and also it has error on the cd(test with CD quality test from cd speed), but if i burn with Track at once, it can reach 48x and error free
it's weird i dunno what's wrong? does burning with DAO always have slower speed and will generate more error?

Not as a rule, no. There may be a limitation (or feature) in your software that limits the burn speed when making audio CDs, since some people feel that burning an audio CD at slower speeds results in better audio quality and/or playability in audio CD players. I don't know enough about Easy CD to say. Dig around for more settings, and check the help files.
