STOP!
Image

All that page does is create an endless loop of opening a new window.
Code: Select all
javascript:n=1;do{window.open('')}while(n==1)

It will surely crash your browser unless you catch it with ctrl+alt+del. I don't appreciate you posting that at all.

Similar to what was posted here recently.

Here's the real trick!!!

Postby nypk on Sun Feb 23, 2003 6:48 pm

There is a small Digital Audio Extraction tool for Windows 95 & 98 available for download on the net called cdfs.vxd or Alternate CDFS (abbreviated alt. cdfs in this article). It's basically a modified version of the file that Windows uses to view the files on a CD. The modified or alternate cdfs.vxd (as it's called) allows Windows to view tracks on a CD as if they were standard wav files. It also so sort of boosting up ur cd reading speed You can download the file here
backup ur Cdfs.vxd file in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\IOSUBSYS\ and extract this file to replace the file. Then restart. Now u can enjoy directly extracting wav file from cd. run regedit dir:[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem\CDFS]
keyword:"Prefetch"=dword:000000e4(default)
optimise Ur cd-cach reading speed can speed up ur cd-run performance
caution:Use it at ur own risk ,No warranty or anykind. chose ur setting best fit ur drive
4x:000000e4(default)
8x:000001c0
16x:00000380
24x:00000540
32x:00000700
36x:00000750
40x:00000800
48X&above:00000800
U can copy the hex dword then change the setting.
Most of system crash are causing of vxd errors. If we can fix the vxd file,it'll reduce the 30% chance of system crash.
Download this here insert ur windows setup cd into ur cd-rom and run this file It'll automaticly copy the vxd file and fix the errors.
Again Use it at ur own risk.No warranty or anykind.
It's also time consuming If U guys don't appreciate, I delete it!!
This One seems working perfectly for me!!!

nypk, Please stop posting pointless content in the forums. It is really not needed and it just clutters up the forum. These post have nothing to do with CD-RW drives or media.

Ian, lock this thread.

nypk, remember that this is a CD-RW forum. There are other places to post information not relating to CD-RW drives, media, or firmware...
