How to tell CDR manufacturer before buying.

Burn baby burn!

How to tell CDR manufacturer before buying.

Postby arcadianews on Wed Mar 05, 2003 4:23 pm

There was a posting on here about how to tell who the manuf. is before purchasing a spindle - does anyone know where that is? I tried to search, but cannot find. Some say look for "made in Japan" but I'm wondering how I can find out if something is TY or Mitsui before I buy a spindle. Not sure if Mitsui does spindles... but thought I'd ask.

Thank you.

Ahem - sorry about that... just another hour or two of skimming the forums found what I wanted (if you'd like to know too):

it's in the FAQ !
CD & DVD Media Technology Guide
although, i'll admit, it's not in very plain sight...
i'll have to do somthing about that.

That's a good idea. Right now it is sort of BuddhaTB's private FAQ. :D

You guys can do whatever. I only archive it in there, so it saves me time from looking for those important posts. But it would probably be better to make a new thread on it, where its more visible.

That's what I thought you were doing. That's why I called it your private FAQ - it's sort of like your MSN Messenger information. You hide nuggets of information all over the place, but always manage to find them. Kind of like a squirrel. :)

Right on cfitz.
It's my own organization system within the forum. I have also run out of space to hide stuff within my profile, so I just keep a notepad document of future/past avatars and signatures.

But if I do find any more useful threads from way back, I'll just store them in there for the time being until someone wants to make a new thread on it or what not.
