BTC vs TEAC opinion

Postby cougfan on Sat Mar 08, 2003 7:05 pm

I wanted to buy a cheap-o burner for my work computer to do basic back-ups so I tried to buy the Cendyne 48x form OfficeMax for $49 - $30 rebate = $19... They were out so they substituted the I/O Magic (BTC really) for the same deal. When I got home I found inside the I/O (BTC) 52x24x52 and a notice that I had been upgraded. This may be more than I need for work, so should I switch and move my TEAC 24x10x40 to work and use the BTC at home for my "serious" burning??? Would the BTC copy as solid at lets say 32x-40x as the TEAC does at 24x??? Just curious

Jason

What's the current firmware?

I have not had good experience with BTC in the past. No problems with burning, the drive just died after a while...

You should be able to burn just fine onto most media.

Anybody at work know you bought the new drive yet? Why don't you just put it in your home system for a few weeks, experiment with both drives to see which you like better, then make your final decision?
