90 min CD-R question

Burn baby burn!

90 min CD-R question

I was told that you cannot burn music onto a 90 mins or above CD-R and if you do so, your normal CD player will not play it, like the CD player in your car and home hi-fi. Is this true or false ?

90 and 99 minute discs are outside of the CD standard, so they may or may not play in any given device. It depends on the specific capabilities of each device. My gut feeling is that computer CD drives in general are more likely to be able to play these extended length discs than home or car audio drives. You will have to test and see for your particular devices.

In any event, you can burn more than 90 minutes of audio to one of these discs. Check Spazmogen's burning guide - he burned a 100-minute audio cd:
