HELP!!! PROBLEM WITHUPGRADED SONY CRX220E1... :(

hi guys... i upgraded my burner with 6s0D firmware, and now when i open easy cd creator it says i can only burn at 4 and 8x...
what can i do? anyway to go back to the original firmware???
please help me guys... don't let me down with this, 'cause i can't afford to buy a new one...

Did you back up the old firmware?

Dear elpiojolopez,
hi.did you back up the old firmware before updating the new one?If you did not and you remember the firmware version then you may download and reflash your drive to the older firmware that was working for you.
Give me an update on this..

Try doing a simulated burn or two with the new firmware and a system reboot as well. Sometimes after flashing with new firmware you have to exercise the drive with the recording software to allow the software to re-detect the capabilities of the drive.
