Nero doesnt detect Lite-On LTR-52246S burner

I just got a new 52x lite-on burner, and using Nero 5.5.7.8
Nero wont detect the burner. Im using XP and XP detects it, the drive works (opens, reads discs etc).
I have it set as master on the secondary IDE port.
I cant see why this would be happening... help please :(

Well, it certainly can't hurt to download and install the latest version, 5.5.10.28. Just go to http://www.ahead.de.

Good advice there :D

I would advise the same as the version of Nero that came with my LiteOn52246S was 5.5.9.0 or 3 if i remember right

U got the drive connected right, so i would think it was the software causin the fault
