My roommate used them before. Made by Ritek, but poor quality. I would personally stay away from them.

Eworks CD's

Postby ragnarok69 on Mon May 05, 2003 8:50 am

I would stay away from them. I bought 200 of the 48-speed CDs because they happened to be the cheapest where I was shopping. I reinstalled XP around the same time. I thought I had a problem with XP or my burning programs, because all of the sudden I couldn't burn at 48-speed. Then while using Nero, I noticed when I popped out the CD, the speed would go to 48, but as soon as I popped the cd in, it would go down to 32-speed. All this time, when I was using Alcohol 120, I thought that there was a bug in it's program. Every time I would set the recording speeds to 48 for certain types burning, It would not come up as default. I then tried an Imation 48-speed CD and that solved the problem. So... apparently Eworks CDs DON'T write at the speed listed on the label. That's my experience and 2 cents.

The ones I have are made by Ritek.

So far no problems with either the metallic tops or Vinyl record look ones.

It's been awhile. I still have some sitting around.

I think that I burned them successfully at 48X but I'm not 100%.
