If I was in the USA. I reckon I'd get one of these: A WS6 Ramair Pontiac Trans Am. It looks so damn cool - well I think so anyway! Too bad they don't make them anymore (F-bodies that is). Sadly, I drive a puny late model 4 cylinder BMW 318i. Oh well...

Geocities doesn't let you link pics off their website.

As for the topic, I'm totally against Amercian muscle cars except for the Shelby Mustangs of the late 60s, early 70s.

I agree... The older muscle cars of the 60s are the ones to have! I.E. Corvette Stingray 1967.... Much muscle!

If I had to drive around a car from the 60's or 70's.. it would have to be a big pimp ride like a Cadillac.

I got my Jeep washed the other day and requested "New Car Smell". They gave me "Pimpmobile Scent" and it is making me retch!

Camaro? I thought it was: "it was fun, fun, fun, till Daddy took the T-bird away..."

Well, there you go. A Camaro is two funs, but a Thunderbird is three funs. Of course, the two different cars are geared towards different types of fun...

Wow, you must pretty much own the road then, huh? :o You must sizzle by the likes of civics and other imports, which some people seem to think are fast.

I like old v-8 Mopars myself. I have a 69 Dart with a very slightly tweaked 318 that does all right. My plan is to dump a 340 in it someday.
What the newer v8 muscle cars are doing these days is scary, they have technology like fuel injection and light weight parts and they're fast, have cold air, and get good MPG too.
The new imports can also be very fast and get rediculous MPG but most of the kids put a fart pipe on and a wing and think they are real fast becuase they are LOUD.
I hate loud and most of my car buddies are trying to get the best balance of performance without sounding like we're running open headers. There's just something about being able to hear the stereo and have a normal conversation I guess.....:) Plus it doesn't get you unwanted attention every time you hit the street.
BESIDES there's just something about mass amounts of torque and being able to get the back sideways just for fun. ;)

Older cars appeal to me.

What always turns my head are Camaros, Mustangs and Challengers, but if it's older [pre 70's], ANY car usually gets my attention.

Even though it's not a muscle car, the older Pinafarina designs [Ferrari] were the best compared to now IMHO.

I'm really loving the Shelby GT 500E.
But I would never spend so much on American muscle.
