The internal Verbatim 52/24/52 drive? My External 52/24/52 drive from Verbatim was a LTR-52246S

Most all of the Verbatim 52x internal drives on the shelf here are now Asus.

Man I'm starting to hate ASUS. While they are a great company they are starting to be everywhere. From cdrws, video cards, mobos, pdas etc ... They weren't satisfied with their mobo company and started another one ASRock. Are they trying to be the next Microsoft ( Hardware version )?

I bought the Verbatim a week or so ago at BB (when they had the $19.99 deal) and it was a Liteon. The others on the shelf at the time were also, as I know others who bought from the same store. They've restocked the shelves since and I wonder if they are now Asus?

Look at the serial number on th box to figure out it's a Lite-on or ASUS.

If it has 12 characters (all numbers), it's a Lite-on. If it has 10 characters,
it most likely will be an ASUS.

Hope this help. :D
Go burning! :D
