Write performance for several NS & US CD-RW
i expect that the "NS" is a typo - should be HS = high speed.

Happy Memorial Day!

Nice Ian, one thing I'm wondering; is it really possible to detect the difference between the flashing interval of the LED?

Yeah, after awhile you can tell the difference.

US Logo

Postby Clint on Tue May 27, 2003 3:40 am

BTW, W4824TA does have Ultra-Speed Compact Disc logo. I have 2 W4824TA's, 1 black SE model and both have the logo. The white 1 is TLA#0000 and the black 1 is TLA#0103.

Maybe your review unit was so fresh it wasn't completely finalised... We had a sample PX-Windsor @ CDRInfo and it differed a little from the final production...

Also, I notice you got a Chinese made drive :-? All Plextor's I have are Japan, wonder why this is...

If I remember back, a lot of the early drives didn't have the logo. What month was yours produced?

Fresh? The W4824TA we reviewed was a final rev. Plextor America hasn't sent out too many engineering samples.

I have two Premiums here. One made in Japan. The other in China. Plextor has slowly been moving production over there. It's a lot cheaper to manufacture things in China.
