higher C1/C2 error on CD writer?

higher C1/C2 error on CD writer?

hi there,

i used KProbe on both my LTR-48125W and LTR-163D

LTR-48125W gives higher C1/C2 error compare to my LTR-163D *WITH* the same CD-R used...

Yup, you'll see different results depending on what drive you use.

but more or less can i use C1/C2 to tell the quality of the burn?

The DVD drives do not correctly report errors, according to our friend Karr Wang. They do, however, appear to be consistantly incorrect. So if you have no other choice you can use one for comparison purposes. In general, it's best to test in the drive you burn in. This eliminates a variable in the chain of events between a burn and a read-error. If you wish to compare media or speed, use the same drive for burning/reading. If you wish to compare drives, use a 3rd drive for reading.
