Nah, you already have a burner, there's no reason to pay more for a slower burner.

I was in training and they were shutting down the servers so I had to go before I could finish the statements.
Like I said before I have 2 burners. I want a new DVD drive to rip movies mainly and to read back the dvd rw's since this generic 16x dvd drive cant read any burnt dvds no matter what brand or format. I saw that the lite on combo is only about 10 bux more than the 166S and they are supposed to read the same speeds just the combo cant read the DVD RAMs which I really dont care as the only DVDRAMS I have are the cartridge type that cant be removed so.... (late night rambling) I thought it wouldnt hurt to have another burner so I can burn multiple cds at once at high speed instead of the sonys slow speed. But again I mainly want the DVD to read my burnt dvds and rip movies quickly. I cant seem to find any real good reviews on the net. I found a review from Ian on the combo on another site seemed good but it didnt talk about how well it could read the EFM and such. All opinions are highly valued on this matter.
I love my current liteon. I had a toshiba dvd rom (8x) and it failed as did my slot loaded pioneer dvdrom(quit ejecting).

If you don't mind spending the extra $10, it couldn't hurt to get the combo. I know that it is always nice to have several burners. :D
