Maxell CD-R

I was browsing in Sam's Club and saw some Maxell CD-R blanks with a gold colored label. The label said "Made in Japan". Might these be Taiyo Yuden disks?

Chances are good that these discs are manufactured by Taiyo Yuden. :)

But keep in mind that these are the Maxell Audio CD-Rs (I've seen this same blank media in Sam's, Costco, and other places). If you want Taiyo Yuden-manufactured Maxell CD-Rs that are not tailored for a stand-alone audio CD recorder, then you'll need to get the Maxell CD-R Pro. :)
My solution to the Plextor vs. Lite-On debate: Buy 'em both! :)
