Unknown 48x burner?

Postby Intimidator on Sat Jul 19, 2003 12:21 pm

In the Upcoming Office Max flyer 7/20 - 7/26 there is an UNKNOWN manufacture 48x burner the is FREE after rebates? There is a $30 manufacture rebate but they don't tell you the manufacture.

Does anyone have any details on this 48x burner? What brand? Is it a decent burner? What software comes with the retail package?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

It's a Cendyne. It could be either Aopen, Benq, or Lite-On.

Follow Up:

I did some investigation and the two 48x models that will will be FREE after rebates are the Cendyne and Kyphermedia.

I was just at Office MAx and the Cendyne is the 48x Lite-On. If you look on the back of the box where is says MODEL # it will be LTR ######. That is the 48x Lite-On.

I am not sure what software comes with the cendyne the box was very sketchy at most on the details.

Who makes the Kyphermedia drive? What software is included?

Thanks

The Khypermedia drive in question are Benq drivers either a 4824P or a 4824W.
Burning software for the Khypermedia drive is Nero Express.
