We shall see.

The other question is, will Ahead put their thinking caps on and release it ahead of time to existing/upgrade customers so they have an opportunity to download the app before everyone else downloads the demo?

Methinks the answer to that question is... doubtful.

I'd be willing to bet that the concept of a segmented/phased release strategy hasn't entered into the mind of the PM or Udo.

Unfortunately it is looking like that may be the case. I was joking earlier when I said "Have we already given up on it being released on the 25th?" because tazdevl had a typo in his poll and asked if people thought it would be released on the 26th. I really expected it to on the site today, the 25th. But maybe tazdevl was onto something. :(

ROFL, poll wasn't showing up. I had to go in and mess around... now look what happened. LOL just kill it.

As to the release... I shall wait until 5PM PST before I comment on this again. I think they have offices in CA somewhere, maybe that's what the release date is based on.

FYI over on CDFreaks they have some scoop that indicates it might be released today.

However, my issue is still with the launch and whether or not upgrade customers are going to be tossed in with everyone else.

So as to not be further disappointed, I may set my computer's clock back to 18 Jul 2002, heck, that would give them AHead start of 53 weeks!

I think they are about to put it on their ftp now -

Nero 6 Version 6.0.0.9 language files are already up at ftp://ftp.nero.com/languages/.

I think tonight (Zone: Greenwich +1) it should be avaiable.

4:30 CST here. No Nero 6 yet on the FTP's or posted on the site. I don't think it will be coming out today.

Does Ahead work based on time in Hawaii?

Forget Hawaii. Try Little Diomede Island in Alaska. It's only about 1 mile east of the International Dateline, so it gives Ahead the most 25th for their money!

Anybody know an American territory closer to the dateline? :D

I don't see a difference between the Retail version and this version. Maybe Ahead was lying about some new features?

Which file(s) need to be downloaded?

Just Nero60009.exe?

Is everything included in that one file?

6009 is just the core. Those other features are probably in a few other apps.
