Would you who have OEM drives mind flashing again, but this time use the new LtnFlash tool from Karr and check the Update Boot Code checkbox. I'm interested to see whether or not the information returned changes. All of Lite-ON's recent Windows Flashers have the BootCode option set to 0 so I assume that this section was never written before...

My Pacific Digital rebadged Lite-On LTR-48125W has the same thing. It still kept the Pacific Digital model # even though I reflashed the drive with the Lite-On FW.
