NeroMedia Player based on Winamp?

Is it just me or is NeroMedia Player a heck-of-a-lot like Winamp? The Options->Preferences is what initially made me notice the similarity. Did Ahead purchase some kind of rights to Winamp? Is this common knowledge that I somehow missed?

I doubt it, based on the thread about ShowTime vs PowerDVD. But it's kind of cool to have a familiar interface, isn't it?

Indeed. I don't know that the software actually uses Winamp code, but it sure looks like it was based on Winamp.
