LG (lucky goldstar) burner using CD-Mate???? VICE CITY>&g

Postby cdnuser on Tue Aug 12, 2003 12:33 am

I have tried multiple times to try to make a backup copy of Vice City with my LG burner and Cd-mate software. Any tricks when copying Vice City? Or does LG burners suck? Any hints would be great!

PS does anyone need some coasters?? Free!

AFAIK, LG CD-RW drives are actually very good drives. Is it possible your CD is copy protected? If it is, you will probably need special software to make a backup copy.

Also, what model is your LG CD-RW?

LG burner

Postby cdnuser on Tue Aug 12, 2003 11:20 pm

My burner is the LG - GCE 8520b. The problem I have is that it say I burned successfully but when I try the disc it seems as though the game can not see the files on the disc. Keeps trying to read but does not load.
I checked the disc and all the files seem to be there?? I am using CD Mate which I hear is a great program to burn with. I also have Nero Express 5 that came with the burner.

Thanks for your feedback! :P

theres nothing wrong with your burner , vice city and alot of other games have protection that is hidden , so you have to get better copying software or do it the illegal way, like getting hacks or patches, but dont do that becuase that is bad.
