Not a bad sale price on Fuji 50 packs at K-Mart through Saturday 8/30 - $11.99 with no rebate. The TY 50 pack spindles are pictured in the ad, but be sure to check for "Made in Japan" to be certain.

...and where do I find a K-Mart? There are, what, 3 of them left in the whole of the United States?

I know they closed a number of stores as a result of their bankruptcy proceedings, but I thought that they still had a good number of stores around the country. I'm within about a 10 minute drive of two of them.

In addition, you can get them on line at www.kmart.com.

There are actually still a lot of Kmart stores in the US.

Speaking of CD-Rs, I am glad that I have stopped buying them (even if the deals are great) - I have 800 or so that I will have a hard time using, especially now that DVD burning is actually more economical on a per meg basis, and has many other benefits over CD media that I won't get into...

Note that some Fuji CD-Rs are no longer made by Taiyo Yuden.
Just look for "Made in Japan", as we did for Memorex (some of which
are TY media).

Yes, you sure did aviationwiz :)

Thanks. I guess I should...
a) get more than 5 hours of sleep a night
b) read the post better (I suppose since I am not interested in CD-Rs
anymore - I have too many as it is - I didn't read it thoroughly).
