Newbie need advice

Postby jean on Sat Aug 30, 2003 11:13 am

Hi to all!!I am considering buying my first CD-RW. After what I read, I have 3 choices in mind.

1. LG GCE 8523B 52X24X52 CD-RW
2. LITE-ON LTR-52246S
3. Mitsumi 485-FTE 54X32X54 CD-RW

This will be used mainly for copying games. What would be my best bet?
Is there anything else even better?Tks a lot to all.

if your main purpose is to back up games, the Lite-On is probably your best choice.

CircuitCity is selling the Lite-On LTR-52327S (52x32x52x) for $14.99 after MIR. See here for details.

I too would recommend buying the Lite-On. :D

There *may* be issues with the 7S and reading sub-channel data, the 6S is probably a better choice for games at this time.

I think the Plextor Premium is the best choice for copying games. A little expensive, but it's got the best quality and there is some form of copy protection that only the Premium with the latest 1.03 firmware can do.
