They screwed up the dates on those files. They're dated 10/1/2002!

I noticed that there is no update for Nero 5.5. Are they going to stop releasing updates for this version? I thought that they might release at least one more update because of the overburning problem.

I wonder what had Ahead engineers in mind when they picked up the name NERO. Because that's the most common name for a dog... :P

There was a thread about where they got the name from a long while back, I think it had to do with ancient Greece.

Actually, it was Ancient Rome. Here is the thread you mentioned, Aviationwiz.

Ah, that means they have been testing the files for a year!

I've already found a bug in the 6.0.0.19 version. While creating a new DVD video compilation I noticed that joliet isn't available.

I have to go into the compilation properties to be able to select joliet.

I'm still waiting for someone else to try closing a dvd+r disc after recording at 8x. :-?

I just updated to 6.0.0.19 and burned 4225 meg of data in 7:47 on a Memorex 4x DVD+R at 8x speed on my Plextor PX-708A burner. Completed without any issues, except while it was clearing the buffer, the speed went down to 3.9x speed. No big deal. Glad I was able to complete the burn and not get a coaster.

Anyone else have success with 6.0.0.19 with their Plextor?

Sounds good, I'll give 6.0.0.19 a try. I just burned two DVD's on 6.0.0.11, next DVD's I burn I'll do on 6.0.0.19.

Did you try it?
Because it didn't work for McStream but did for vsekh.
I think I'll stick to 6.0.0.11 for the time being.
