Firmware update for Sony DRU510 - Uninstall Nero first??

According to instructions in updating my firmware (1.0D) for my Sony DRU510A burner I need to uninstall any packet writing software before installing the new firmware.

Does this mean I need to uninstall my copy of Nero 6.0.15 prior to doing my firmware update ??

I doubt you'd have to uninstall Nero, just InCD (if you have it installed). I won't tell you to disregard the instructions, but I've updated firmware on my CD-RW drives many times without uninstalling my packet-writing software.
