the antec 430 watt power supply true

Postby flashgordonion on Sun Oct 12, 2003 12:34 pm

I was wondering about getting the antec 430w powers supply true

http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproduct.a ... 17-103-908

is it worth the money. And there isn't any problem with having a supply with too much wattage right?

LOL I have a 550 watt PSU. No worries on having too much wattage.

Yes, Antec makes a solid PSU and definitely is worth the money. Too many people skimp on PSUs, then wonder why their systems don't run well.

I've got one in two different systems; one of which has a P4, 5 hard drives, and 2 optical drives. These are great PSU's!

Got it. Love it.

There was a review on it and it came out on top.

Super quiet too.

This is absolutely true.I also have an Antec 550 TruControl in this system.It solved many stability issues when trying to overclock to the max.I dont know whether its quiet or not(its supposed to be) because of the other 4 tornado fans roaring in the background.

The TruePower 430W is a great PSU. $83 is OK for it. You can get it for $82.49 at zipzoomfly, and that includes 2nd Day Air Shipping:

Antec = Best

Postby NeilPeart on Tue Oct 14, 2003 2:04 am

The Antec True430 PSU is one of the best power supplies out there. It combines the stability/quality of Power PC & Cooling, with the features of Enermax and the low noise of Zalman. They are also cheaper than Enermax and PPC&C (and can be found for really cheap when bought with an Antec case). Antec's power supplies are the overall best, IMHO. 8)

opinions on the Antec True480?
is it as good as the 430 just stronger?

I have the True480 in my system. Good stuff. For $9 more, I'd get the 480 over the 430.
