I know that Antec has good power supplies, but I need one for not too much money I was wondering about the Thermaltake Silent pure power 420w. The reviews seem good but I'd like to know what y'all think

same question, is that TT PSU any good? My guess is that it should be fine, 420 Watts, and the brand is good, and they have a great rating, Tweaktown gave it a 9.5/10, the only thing that they took 1/2 point away was because "Only one fan monitoring cable for two fans", does that really matter?

Thermaltake makes good Power Supplies, the Silent PurePower are the ones to go with if you get a Thermaltake. The Antec TruePower are better, but as you said, do cost a little bit more than the Thermaltakes.

As far as the Vantec Ion, I have never even heard of that line of Power Supplies, so if I've never heard of it, I'll take a safe bet that it's not too good of a quality Power Supply.

I have the same PS. Got it from Newegg a few months back. Works great so far.

It seems much more reasonably priced than a lot of the other high-power supplies. And it gets the Ian Seal of Approval as well. Sounds like a winner! :)
