Lead Data, it's some of the worst media you can buy. The Jensen I have here is so bad that it can't be read over 32x, regardless of what speed it's written at.

On the other hand, the Jensen 10x 700mb CDRW's is great stuff [don't know for longevity though].

That's awful; what drive(s) did you use to burn this media?

I've tried the Jensen in everthing I have, same results. On the other hand, for $2 per 100, it would be just adequate for throw-away/give-away discs that don't need to be read at high speed. But I'll assume that it has a short life span. Just be prepared to see some C2 on them.

Here here! I have some Lead Data discs under the E3 Works brand, and I'm not impressed with them at all. They were pretty cheap, so I'm not complaining too much, but they are rated at 48X and will only burn successfully at 24X in my LG GCC-4320B and even worse (8X) in my LG GCE-8320B!

I have some older Lead Data discs under the GQ (Great Quality) label, and I'm surprised they've lasted thus far showing no C2 errors. They are almost 2 years old.

Jensen Discs

Postby DeathStalker77 on Tue Oct 14, 2003 9:56 am

The discs (50pk) that I got from CC a couple months ago were SO bad that I couldn't write to 9 out of 10. I called the company (Jensen) to complain about the exceedingly poor quality of their discs. They replied that they were aware that "a bad batch" had gone out from the factory. Looks like that was just a BS line.

I won't ever buy them again - at ANY price.

I wont buy Lead Data for any reason - a few CD-RW's I made last year have refused to run now and I lost a bunch of files I wanted to keep. :(

Sony used Lead Data last december for thier 32X 50 packs they sold at Wal-Mart. I heard these were very poor quality. Fry's sells Lead Data for cheap prices on their "GQ Great Quality" brand and Best Buy sold them about a year ago under the "ProMedia" brand. Dont buy them.
