BIN files with Toast = c1 and c2 errors

Burn baby burn!

BIN files with Toast = c1 and c2 errors

Postby Alejandra on Thu Oct 16, 2003 2:25 pm

Two week ago I bought another LTR-52327S to use with my portable computer, a PowerBook, yes it has an internal CDRW/DVD combo but I like the speed of the 52x LiteOn.

Yesterday I was burning some BIN files with Roxio´s Toast 6, I observe that the speed wasn´t the same at the begining of burning, after verify passed I obsrve that the discs has diferent zones of "color" so I checked with CD-Speed, CD Quality test and Scandisc shows some bad sectors, so I re-burn those BIN images with Nero, checked the new ones and no probs.

I thought that my new burner was failing but then I tested some other discs that I burned that were no BIN images with CD-Speed, it showed 0 bad sectors. So i believe that Toast have some kind of trouble burning BIN Images, because other formats hasn´t problem at all, including other image formats like DMG or toast-images.

How are you connecting it to your PowerBook? FireWire?

More on bin/cue files with Toast

Postby Alejandra on Mon Oct 20, 2003 4:44 pm

Yesterday I burned some other bin image but this time with the .cue option, no probs, no c1 and c2 errors at all, teh I burned the same image but without the .cue file, and guess what, slowdowns, led blinking yellow several times across the burning and yes c1 and c2 errors.
