Yamaha CRW3200 or F1 USB case with another drive?

Has anybody tried using the external USB 2.0 based enclosure for Yamaha CRW3200 or F1 with another drive from a different manufacturer?

Does it work?

Are there limitations?

I've got an external F1 and I don't think you can just put a drive in the case it won't fit.

Only Yamaha drives work in Yamaha cases.
