Did Plextor Stop Making CD-RW/DVD Combo Drives?

Postby craiger on Fri Oct 31, 2003 11:08 pm

Just curious. They made that 12x10x40x8x, I think, then they stopped. I guess DVD recordable drives are the future. I think it would be cool if Plextor combined their 52x32x52x Premium drive with a 16x DVD-ROM and had an 8mb cache. Wouldn't it? Thanks, Craig.

Well, they did release a 20/10/40/12 drive:

I think that was the first one they made, and the one I was thinking about. I guess I got the speeds wrong. I was hoping Plextor would come out with a faster one than that.

Looks like Plextor is busy with DVD rewritable drives now.
