Optorite combo drive -- any good?

Postby jase on Fri Nov 21, 2003 11:00 am

I've seen these going cheaply at an online supplier who is doing free shipping this weekend, so I was just wondering how good they are since I could do with one for a PC which is short of bays......

It's 48x24x48x/16x DVD-ROM, not sure of the model no.

So, can anyone who owns one of these tell me what the media compatibility, and DAE and DVD extraction are like please?

Thanks!!

Hello!

I didn´t own this drive, but I have an Optorite-OEM-CD-RW 52x24x52(MSI). The media compatibility is good with common media like Ritek, Prodisc, SKC, MoserBaer

But this writer only burns 16x with programs like CloneCD
Benq DW 1640 and 1650 , Plextor PX-755, Pioneer BDR-208 and 209D, LG GH24NSC0, LG BH16NS40 and 16NS55, Liteon ihas 124F and 324F, Pioneer DVR-215 and S21, Samsung SH-224DB and 224GB, and some more
