Combo drive - no disc in drive D:

Postby tintinn on Sat Sep 27, 2003 10:01 am

Hello,

I have a 2 months old LTC 48161H drive which recently refused to recognize DVD titles. The drive spins a while and then went quiet. PowerDVD gave an error message of 'no disc in drive D:' . No changes have been made to the hardware and software setup. I'm running windows XP Pro SP1.

Any ideas ? It reads CD's well but not DVD anymore.

A buddy of mine had the same problem with his LTD-163. It wouldn't read any media at all. I emailed Liteon USA/Canada tech support and they sent me a FW that isn't posted and now the drive is working great. Drop them a line. I emailed them tonight and got the FW about an hour ago, now that is service!
