Bought from BOMC around 1993-1994 when I was yet in the ROK Army.

Bandi and Lunis (CoEx, Seoul) sells a boxed edition of LOTR Triology + Hobbit for 40,000 KRW. But they are a revised edition from Tolkien's originals.

Cheers.
Stone walls do not a prison make,
Nor iron bars a cage;
Minds innocent and quiet take
That for an hermitage;
If I have freedom in my love,
And in my soul am free,
Angels alone that soar above
Enjoy such liberty. - Richard Lovelace

No, I don't read books in the Korean language though I can fluently write in Korean. Haven't for 10 years. It is not a pleasant thing to read a book translated from English into Korean.

Especially not this one. I read it in English, Dutch and partly in French (don't know what made me try on that though :roll: ). The original is beyond compare. The linguistic nuances used by Tolkien get lost in translation.

Nice leatherbound edition that one, but I found the red ink on the top of the pages getting on my nerves after a while. Didn't buy that one, but if I ever find another leatherbound edition I sure will get that.
I've got a very old Dutch three-in-one edition with extremely thin pages, quite like a bible (which I never read anymore). And in English a very, very worn HarperCollins paperback, as well as a large hardback (not leatherbound sadly).
