I've got a 62x CD Burner! (Actually, just an odd Nero bug).

Nero version: 6.3
Drive: Optorite DD0401
Bug: If no CD/DVD is in the drive, the drop down list for write speeds lists "62x". I didn't know I had a 62x burner! Sweet!

Now, where I can I pick up some 62x-rated media for my DD0401? :)
That'd be, what, about a 1 1/2 minute burn? :P Me want!!

Got a screen shot but no server for it. Any server recomendations?
Soon to be proud user of Mandrake 10 (again!). SuSE 9 sucks!

Thanks for putting up the pic!

On a side note, I haven't been able to reproduce that. Now it sticks at 24x w/o a disc in the drive. Wierd...
Soon to be proud user of Mandrake 10 (again!). SuSE 9 sucks!

That's cool.
If it were true,I wonder how fast it would take to rip a disc at that speed?

Don't forget: Kenwood had a 72x CD-ROM drive for awhile; it used 7 lasers to read the disc fast w/o high rotation speeds.

That Kenwood is fast!!!!!!!
Still has a few drawbacks though.

Fast enought? That's easy: if it ain't instantaneous, then it ain't fast enough! :)
