Yeah, all I've heard about this bill is how crappy it is. You have to opt in and even then it doesn't prevent credit card companies, your ISP, etc from sending you stuff.

i would be scared of a do not spam list.. i mean, if someone got that list they could spam major folkz.. and or send a virus. Also i think my spam filter that comes w/ Outlook 2003 works pretty well

Spam filtering on your mail client reduces the amount of manual labor done, but the horses have already left the barn.
