Nero CD/DVD Speed can't read disc info

I found that my Nero CD/DVD Speed can't read disc info suddenly....

I've tried uninstall then reinstall Nero, but won't help.

Previously it can read disc info and do Overburn test.

Who know how to fix it ?

Have you recently installed Alcohol 120%, CloneCD or a similar program?

Yes, I have Alcohol 120%.

But previously both Alcohol 120% and NeroToolkit are working properly !

do you know what's going on ?

I've tried uninstall 120%,
disc info come back again in CD/DVD Speed.

is it possible to fix it ?

Alcohol 120% a setting called something like "hide CDR info" or some such. it prevents the CDR media from being identified. disable this option (this is why cfitz asked if you installed Alcohol 120% or CloneCD). then CDSpeed disc info (or any other program that recognizes disc info) should work again allright.

In Emulation settting, uncheck "Ignore Media Type" !

I think some program will check if you are using cloned media then stop execution.


But, if you are using CDROM or DVDROM, you don't need this setting.
Bcoz most CDROM & DVDROM won't read Media Type !
