LOL!

Shaq has never worn Nike's in his pro career. Also, Payless does not carry any name brand shoes anyways.

I just bought a pair of Nike skate shoes last week, gonna hold off until Feb. 14th, when some new retro Jordans get released.

Apologies for the poor memory. But the store, Shaq and the reduction are correct. Check the LATimes for this AM. Full page ad.

OK, I'm home now. It is the Shaquille O'Neal "Dunkman" shoe. At "Payless ShoeSource". Huge ad in the sports section.

BuddahTB must have seen it on that sneaker website/forum/bulletin board that he goes to. Probably coming back from Payless now with several new pairs.

Ohhhh, then why aren't they called skateboard or skateboarding shoes? Skate shoes sounds like the old-school roller skates, the ones where you used to attach the wheels to your regular shoes.

Jermaine O'Neal plays for the Indiana Pacers. He's a thug.

That's why I quit watching boxing and wrasslin', there is more real fighting in basketball.

Slim,
Who misses roller derby which had more wrasslin' than wrasslin' and more boxin' than boxin'.

VERY comfortable.

These are the ones I got, Nike Zoom Air E-Cue. You either like the design or hate them. Very durable and comfy.
Image
polyurethane coated upper over breathable mesh equals ventilated armor / Double stacked Zoom Air in heel for extra cushioning with no sacrafice of board feel / Anatomically contoured footbed for a great fit right out of the box

Nike also has some other styles out currently, but they are earning the respect of skate boarders since they have a very good skate team.

I don't think any real skateboarders would be caught dead wearing those pimp shoes. Nike should really go hang out at the skate park for a few hours.

I used to wear Vans all the time. After buying a pair of Nikes, I realized just how uncomfortable Vans were. They have very little support in them. Ah well.. maybe I'm just getting old.

Yes, you are. I know it well.

Van's were made locally (to me) thirty years ago and they had little neighborhood shops in the area, one a mile form my house. For an extra couple of bucks they would make a "custom" pair for you. You chose the style, top material and sole pattern/material and they would make to your length and width (standard, narrow or wide). As I wear an A or B width, they were the only "tennis" shoe that I wore for years. You could also go to a fabric store and buy a yard and a half of any cloth/material whatsoever and for another $5, they would apply that to the top.
