Problem with a HI-Val 52x24x52 CDRW

Postby shahin on Mon Jan 20, 2003 4:26 am

I am having a problem with my new HI-Val 52x24x52 CDRW. I installed it and everything and it can read Audio CDs and Software CDs but it cannot read blank media so that I can burn something to the disc. Everytime I try to use a recording program it says that there is no disc inserted into the drive. Please help I'm getting so frustrated with this dang thing.

Hi-Val has been known to place poor quality drives in their boxes from Benq, Optorite, or CyberDrive. I would personally return the drive and buy something better made from Lite-On. Just look through the hot deals section and your bound to find some good deals there.
