Problems with my ltd 165h

I just finished installing the hardware and the power dvd software the
ltd 165h came with. It can play audio cds but does not even see the dvd cds. I opened powerdvd and it says there is no dvd in the drive when i have a dvd in, when i go to my computer and click on the drive, it says there is nothin in it????

does the computer see it at all in the BIOS or the OS? what OS are you running?

I would double check the IDE cable and the jumper settings.
