8.7 quake & 'small' tsunami hits Indonesia-again.

Postby Spazmogen on Mon Mar 28, 2005 4:39 pm

CNN ARTICLE from 28 March 2005.

They got hit again in Indonesia.

The 'small' tsunami was expected to make landfall in Sri Lanka about 4pm my local time (in about 30 minute from now).

It's been 3 hours since the initial quake, and already the death toll is 50+ and counting.

CNN SAID:
Between 10,000 and 15,000 people were running about 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) to hilltops for safety

Thank goodness people have already begun fleeing and taking this seriously! Still, this could be very bad....

Quite frankly it is heart-breaking, even moreso after what the region already went through just three months ago! :(

Hopefully the toll won't be too terrible.

It puts the petty concerns of most of our lives over here in perspective...

The words "hate" and "video games" should not be used near eachother in a sentence...

Good example: I hate crappy games.

Bad example: I suck, I hate games.

kidding
