Burn baby burn!

question about burning speeds

Postby motor11 on Thu Jun 05, 2003 6:05 am

hi
i have a crx215 and i have a very strange prob:
when i try to burn above 16x with various media and various software (nero,120% etc.) - the burner slows down the burn at about 34% which causes almost half of the disc to be with errors.
anybody knows how to fix that prob?

i tried the following and had unrecoverable errors above 16x:

maxell
samsung
office depot
gpt
memorex
gonda/presica

the following actually worked well above 16x:

benq - only one i managed to burn above 16x without c2 errors(still with lots of c1 errors)...
tdk/verbatim - no prob burning above 16x

any educated guess on whats the prob?
