request for your help w/ Best Buy

Hi Folks, need your help here.

I got a 10% off coupon for all digital cameras via the mail, good for Memorial Day weekend.

I want to buy a Canon A70 as a gift for my wife, but my local Best Buy is out of stock. The A70 is also not available on their website (& not for local store pick up either, according to the web)

I am wondering if this is a local situation. Can you let me know if your local Best Buy has the Canon A70 in stock?

If so, I may make a longer trip to out of town to buy a Canon A70 from an alternate Best Buy...

They usually send me coupons, especially for customer appreciation weekends.

UALOneKPlus, I'll stop off at Best Buy on Thursday or Friday and check if my store has any of the A70's in stock.

I live in California, but since I fly so much for work, I can go to any Best Buy I wish to buy it this weekend. I just need to book the ticket to get there .

If BB has it in Southern Cali, so much the better. Otherwise I'll just take my wife on a weekend flight to somewhere to buy her gift!!

This is a really great camera. I also have the Nikon Coolpix 4300 for myself, which is another great camera.

Nice choice for a digital, UALOneKPlus. I have the old A10, 1MP. Still takes great pics.
Although, I've been tempted to upgrade to the A70 myself.

My wife likes the sepia tone black and white pics.
With the A10, I can do them but have first take them in manual mode B&W,
then to go into PS6 and adjust the colors.
Apparently the A70 has a sepia mode built in, along with some other nice features.

Anyways, the BB here in WA at least had one on display a couple weeks ago cause I took a look at it.

Yeah, I know. I'm sure there's a ton more down there.
I had just typed in Huntington Beach, where I used to live and it returned those four.
I figured at least one of those should have a box in stock.

Thanks to all for the help.

I found out that my local BB got 2 more in stock. So I quickly made the purchase online (to get the $50 rebate) and scooted over to the local store to pick it up.

I also made use of my 10% off coupon to buy a new digital camcorder, Canon ZR70MC, which seems to be the latest model.

Can't wait to try them out.
