A seatbelt would keep the body inside the car, that would be about it.

No airbags in that baby.

it didn't say there anything about him being thrown out of the car!

an airbag wouldn't help either. fiberglass solar car vs. iron&steel regular car. the solar car would get crushed including whoever's in it. the airbag would get crushed too...
