Some quick questions regarding ASPI layer !

I am using Windows XP with Nero 5.5.8.0 and Clone Cd 4.0 beta so far. Since I have seen so many issues are dealing with aspi layer, so I would like to know if I am OK so far, do I have to download a software such as FORCE ASPI ??

Also if I would like to install Fire Burn software, do I have to worry somehting about ASPI layer ??

Please advise.

It wouldn't hurt to have an ASPI layer on there other than Nero's built in one. Adaptec's 4.70 aspi layer no longer requiers another adaptec product to be installed so you can just dl it and go.

As long as all the applications work fine avoid installing any ASPI.

well i recently re installed xp pro and my aspi layer ha comlpetely gone :O

I installe nero 5.6 then clone cd 4beta rev 2 and although these two progs work fine cdrwin 4.0a dont work fine! it needs aspi!.

although i have no problm with this error as all m other stuff works perfect it eans i cant use cdrwin until i get an aspi layer!

not realy bothered about that as ive noticed for some odd reason now when i backup dvd's to divx in dvdx it encodes alot faster!
