Something wrong with my cdr.....help

hi all,....just got myself a burner, TDK Cyclone 48/24/48.

after installed the cdr, i tried to play normal CD (song, not mp3), but it just can't read the CD. then my system become unstable.

the funny thing is that cdr can play vcd with out any problems. same goes for my mp3!! BUT not for normal CD !!!

What OS are you using?

How old is it?

What is your CPU and RAM?

How did you set your burner up?

Is it on IDE1 or IDE2 and what else is on there with it?

And what is each set at, master or slave?

Did you install the latest software and firmware ?

Are you trying to read the CD with your burner or your CDROM?
