Help !!
I was just given this unit from my brothers machine.
It is a Sony 16x DVD Rom model 1621 - it is manufactured in January 2002, so it is relatively "old".
It is running the 1.6 firmware.
I run WinXP Pro.
DVD video is perfect - I use Power DVD 5
***BUT***
I have no audio - it appears NOT to be transmitting the audio through the IDE cable [ as XP is supposed to do - and does - with my other, newer Sony 52X CD Rom ]
=> Can any please help / advise ?
=> Is it a firmware glitch OR does the 1621 simply not transmit its audio via the IDE cable.
