Star Wars: Clone Wars Trailer

Postby Ian on Sun May 27, 2007 4:47 pm

No, this isn't the Clone Wars cartoon from a couple of years ago. This is the new series coming out next year.

When I first saw the poster for this series, I didn't know if I'd like the animation style, but what I've seen so far looks pretty kick ass.

Then there's this "Tales of the New Republic" project which isn't officially sponsored by Lucasarts:

Well, at least the animated droids look the same as the CGI droids from the movie. The animated people look weird...

A new trailer has shown up on Youtube. This series is looking better and better.

Is it just me or does it sound like Sam Jackson is doing the voice of Mace Windu.

Thanks Tracy. I wasn't at home when it was on TV last night.

Has anyone seen Clone Wars yet? I'm going tomorrow morning. I'm kinda irked though because the local theater doesn't have it on its Ultra screen. Instead, they're playing Tropic Thunder. :-s

Yeah, it seems like every reviewer out there is trashing the movie and George Lucas. I saw the movie yesterday and while its nothing like the other Star Wars movies, its pretty good for an animated flick. IMO, the battle and space scenes are better than what we saw in the other Star Wars movies. On the other hand, it does seem to be lacking the spark or emotional quality of the other films. Still.. for a movie that was originally made for TV, it was pretty good.
