Suggestions of a good cheap CDR for a 300 MHz PC

Postby cdrnewbie on Wed Dec 18, 2002 10:06 pm

I hope to get a new computer during 2003, but for now I'd like to copy some things on CDRs.

Is this possible given the speed of my computer or should I just wait until I can afford a new system? How much does CPU speed matter?

A 32x CDR with Nero 5.5 would be nice - or something under $50.

Thanks!

Since your system is 300MHz, any current CD-RW drive will do. I would just check out the hot deals section for good prices on CD-RW drives. Once you find something within your price range, just check out the minimum system requirements and also check to see if it comes with Nero or not. All CD-RW drives now a day require a 166-266 MHz processor, but I would recommend getting more RAM if you have less than 128MB SDRAM.
